      I don’t think he cares. For him it’s not about winning or losing. Losing means nothing to a man of his means. Paying for the appeals process is nothing to him. It’s just an easy way for a rich person to tie the courts up in BS.

      All of this is just a way to punish and cause stress for Nikita – to keep her name in the news, do not allow her to have any peace, do not allow her to put this ordeal behind her.

      If Lawrence was “untruthful” testifying on McGregor’s behalf, and McGregor was picking up any legal bills, surely his legal team was aware?

      Since this was a civil case (rather than a criminal case where we accept everyone is entitled to a defence) what are the ethics of representing someone under these circumstances?

      edit: and a follow up question would be can you perjure yourself in civil court, or are you not testifying under oath / there’s no expectation that a witness is telling the truth?
