Kann mir jemand helfen, zu verstehen, was der Zweck dieses besonderen mittleren Teils ist, den ich in meinem Apartmentfenster sehe? Ich muss zum ersten Mal ein paar Vorhänge kaufen und mich fragen, wie sich dies auf die Installation des Vorhangs auswirken (oder nicht).

Ventilation
It is an air vent. It should not affect curtain installation in any way.
You should clean that every now and then too. It will allow better air circulation.
Air vent. If you just hang the curtains from the tiny clamps there (visible in the pic) you don’t need to worry.
