I assume it’s probably quite apparent what rule you broke, and that’s why you’re not showing what you actually posted.
So, like they say, grow up.

it’s human nature. i would encourage folks to examine the behavioural tendencies of ppl who have been given authority. it’s across the board. doesn’t matter what kind of authority. could be anything. just try to pay attention to the behaviours and smells that comes with these kinds of roles. it seems like there are baked in psychologies that tend to manifest. jane eliot’s blue eye brown eye stuff goes into this, as does milgram, and zimbardo.
continued ignorance of this dynamic is stupid.

All the original news mods where demodded in 2020 and 15 fake ones added. They must work for a strategist company or something. Someone took a screenshot of it. Something weird happened in 2020 to a lot of mods I think a power mod sold a large majority of reddits. News use to give 1 day bans then they started perma banning everything mild after 2020.

Reddit used to be libertarian. Indeed, the ethos of the site and its intended function require vigorous and varied debate. But like all things that are honest and work, weak-willed authoritarians supplant power, remove (or kill) the originators, and enforce an ideology that only works through censorship.
Biased and unilateral „moderation“ is just censorship, for all the dullards that worship the boot. It hasn’t been even-handed in over a decade, so save that spiel for people already sunk to your level. This is a site for conformists and dysgenics. Applauding it at this point is just ratting on yourself.

The concept of free speech is dying across the West, but especially in America where we had the most robust protections for it.
And it’s bipartisan. The liberals and left will silence you for saying things they don’t want you talking about or for opinions they don’t want to propagate. They’ll label it hate speech, misinformation, antisemitism, ableism, “being a reactionary”, anti-vax/anti-pharma etc.
The conservatives and right will silence you for “being anti-American”, for anti-semitism, for criticizing Trump/republicans, for challenging law enforcement or government, for “not supporting the troops”, for “being a communist/socialist”, for being anti-Israel etc.
I think our free speech traditions and protections will be either severely impacted or resemble Europe by the end of the century.

People seem to be confusing “the internet” with “Reddit” – Reddit is a private business, and they can regulate speech on their platform however the fuck they want. Does it suck? Absolutely. Have Reddit mods been compromised? For years. Do not be fooled by sentiment push and false free speech activism. You do not have unfettered speech on a platform like Reddit. Reddit is not the internet. If you want a space to say what you want whenever you want to say it, develop your own platform. I’d join it.

The invisible rule you broke is called…“disagreeing with them“ in some way. And you are only a grown-up if you agree with them.
I am also banned on that sub if I recall correctly during the covid scamdemic didn’t like my negative news and comments on the government narrative. It’s basically a propaganda sub.

This is why „reddit mod“ is a meme. They don’t get reasonable or stable people to moderate the platform, only deranged activists who police right think.

Same exact response to me when I mentioned Riley Gaines being a great conservative figurehead against it on a post about pro-transgenderism. They refuse to acknowledge other opinions, made me use reddit significantly less tbh and I’m on X more

I had a one week ban in this sub for an obscure rule 10 violation, No answer from the mods after repeated requests for dialogue. Make sure your SS has at least two sentences,,,,or get fingered. Reddit is weird and controlled from a small room at the top.
I’ve got banned for the dumbest reasons ever. The latest was on an atv sub where someone asking suggestions on brands and I mentioned one brand is more reliable than other. BANNED.

I think “the Donald” really fucked the website up. Reddit had a new sub pop up over night and become one of the top subs on the platform and Reddit went though hell and it was incredibly divisive and led to Reddit creating tools to suppress and encourage suppression.
Instead of just ban the group they began total suppression, removing its posts from reaching the front page even though it should have been all over it. I’m not defending the Donald but it really began the era of Reddit suppression.
Subs began mass banning anyone that had so much as posted in that sub. Then subs began banning anyone that posted in other subs too. I remember posting something in a sub which was against that sub like an anti Trump post in a Trump sub and I instantly got sub ban messages from liberal subs.
I’d say the Donald was the end of Reddit freedom. Reddit banned subs before but I don’t remember any that big that wasn’t breaking laws.
I’m amazed we haven’t moved on from Reddit but at least I don’t have to learn a new site I guess.

All the mods are shills probably. Hired regulators, keeping the sub from going too deep and out there with its theories like how it used to be on here. I talked to multiple people that used to be mods here and they said they just got kicked off without warning out of no where one day, and then all the mods were replaced. So “whoever” could have better control of the truthers doing actual research and posting facts that seem like fiction.

Not possible to really judge the context if you don’t share with the class what you originally posted that got you banned. Maybe you posted something that elicited that response lol

Depends on what you did it can be either a petty but understandable response or just bullshit. What’s the context?

I got a warning for saying what I think should be done with paedophiles (it wasn’t nice) the referred me to rule 1 “ Communities and users that incite violence or that promote hate based on [identity or vulnerability](https://www.reddithelp.com/en/categories/rules-reporting/account-and-community-restrictions/promoting-hate-based-identity-or) will be banned.“
Apparently paedos are a vulnerable community.
