      A rational policy would be to try to work on getting trade deals while also creating policies to build up manufacturing in the US, which Trump has said is his goal. But he appears to be failing at getting any reasonable trade deals done and those that have been completed increase tariffs on many of the inputs needed to build up manufacturing so that is also a dead end.

And grocery costs are down to the lowest point they have ever been – some are saying 100%, 500% down. And he has accomplished more in six months than any President in history.       India is the largest exporter of generic drugs. This 25% tariffs means that a lot of medicine is going to be jacked up. That means higher costs for insurance companies that pass it on to you. So not only do you have to pay more for rice and other things that India exports, but also you’re going to pay more for drugs and see higher insurance premiums.

      FFS, India’s economy and general income levels make it harder to sell expensive American goods into there, even with 1B people. We import so damn much from India because we get it cheap. Why should these countries bow down to Trump, when they know he can’t be trusted to stick to any plan on any given day.

      Also, the PM of India is not a known pedophile and child rapist.
