Just in case, if you are by the sea, just go a bit higher. Tsunami probably small and not discernible from regular waves but better safe than sorry. Complacency is the real killer.

Can someone who is in Japan keep me updated? My daughter is on layover traveling back to me after spending summer with her dad. She is in Tokyo, I believe Taito area. It looks like she is well inland, but there is a river (Arakawa) nearby from the bay that I get worried about. I have been watching footage but its mostly Hokkaido and Hitoo? area. She may be okay, but I am so sick thinking there is nothing I can do.
