What’s the chance it’s not as simple as the Mail makes out in the headline?

      *Edit:

So it’s actually about being trans and facing a good likelihood of being faced with „harassment, discrimination and potential harm from non-state actors.“ And „his father’s threats to kill him on account of his behaviour“

      Mocked?
I thought they only got to stay if there was a significant risk of danger.

      0 Sympathy trans or not.

A Criminal is a criminal regardless of the sex they are or think they are.

      Daily Mail is trash though.

I don’t know why we are expected to solve the problems of anyone who can manage to get here. It’s unfair and unsustainable.

Can’t bring my spouse of 9 years into the UK despite them having studied in the UK and owing student finance (which means they should want her back, currency is so bad in our current country she will never meet the threshold) yet it seems everyone else seems to have such a straightforward time being there.

Wouldn’t mind but getting a 29k job when not living in the UK is almost a non starter. So you have to effectively be apart from your partner for a period of at least 6 months (if you find a job that quickly) for them to apply and then wait potentially another 3 months for them to get approved all while having the privilege of paying 5 grand to do so.

You are looking at easily being apart from your spouse for a period of 1+ year, how is that not absolutely ludicrous? The deeper you look at immigration and policies the more you see just how much Britain seems to hate their own citizens.

The fact that there is a Marriage Visa that allows you to enter the UK to marry a UK national and then have to leave is mental and deranged.

Oh and by the way if you want to convert that Marriage Visa into a spousal visa they have to leave the UK to do. Banana republic policies.

Also want to make clear that proving your marriage or relationship is pretty rigorous with the evidence required so it’s not like people can pop in and marry or anything.

    6. Missing the part here where they received actual death threats in Algeria but go off.

It’s high time this country had a conversation on the legal frameworks around these. It looks like what masquerades as „human rights“ has nothing to do with human rights and is just a tool useful for criminals to escape deportation. On the other hand, real human rights issues like freedom of speech and privacy aren’t protected by these human rights frameworks. Governments are getting more and more authoritarian with these human rights courts doing nothing about it.
