This is Labour’s out to also not guarantee the triple lock

This is the same man who wanted British workers to pay over £30bn a year to give free tax breaks to rich foreigners.
And the same man who wants to give tax breaks to crypto users, so rich crypto users will give him more money in donations.
Nothing but a snake oil salesman who buckles under the smallest bit of basic political scrutiny and accountability.
If the media actually treated him like any other politician, Reform wouldn’t be ahead in the polls right now.

He never „guarantees“ anything. That’s his whole schtick. He just complains.
If he’s going to remove the triple lock and remove these stupid online ID checks he’s got my vote.
Call me a skeptic but I don’t think k he actually wants to run the country.
This guy knows how to pander like nobody else, knows how to read the room and this will piss off a very high % of a large voting demographic

Tbh i reckon he’ll try and scrap the pension altogether.
Abolishing the triple lock will be immensely beneficial to the UK and help rebalance the young paying for the millionaire boomers. Anyone with a shred of economic understanding knows this needs to be done.
I did think this was a terrible answer. He would have been better off saying „That’s a trap“ and ignoring the question.
Rare Farage W tbh, especially considering most of his core supporters are probably benefitting from the triple lock as we speak.

Can’t stand the man, but the triple lock isn’t sustainable, or affordable for working people to have to maintain.
The state pension is a benefit and no other benefit is treated like the pension for yearly rises. I think it’ll actually become means tested one day, with a taper similar to child benefit.
Just align pensions with average wages. Pensioners will have a reason for voting for policies that help the economy and not just themselves and it will be more sustainable.
Has he guaranteed to get rid of it? No? Then it’s a none story.

I don’t care if the triple lock is abandoned.
A single lock to inflation works.
What i don’t understand is why we can’t drop the 2.5% minimum, call it the double lock. When prices and wages aren’t rising then there is no need to increase pensions either and we don’t have a ratcheting effect where every few years state pension rises in real terms.
So? Why would he guarantee anything at the moment. It’s years till he needs to make promises. I don’t like him, Reform are a bunch of con men, but how is this news?
I have to give him respect for this now? Today sucks.
He hasn’t guaranteed anything, but it’s very rare for any politician to promise to do something, but it’s a win for him and reform as I think he’s the first to come out and say it.
I really don’t want reform getting more support, but Labour are definitely making things hard for themselves

Who even knows what the triple lock is!? Why do you need 3 locks, why not just have 1 good lock!
One of the few things Reform have right.
Giving ever more of the welfare budget to the richest demographic in the country makes no sense, is manifestly unfair and is unsustainable.
The uk is going down the drain and everyone able to grab what’s left is doing so.
