Completely predictable. The government was warned for years and years that having undiverse and excessive immigration would lead to opposition and racism.
They took one of the best immigration systems that had broad public support and turned it into one of the most dysfunctional that the overwhelming majority of Canadians no longer approve of.

Let’s be really clear that racism and xenophobia are never okay. Period.
Let’s also be clear that our immigration system is built on exploitation, alienation, and division.
Things are not going to get better until we get to the roots of racism/xenophobia and the roots of the business lobbies influence (corruption) of the pathways and programs into this nation.
*We need to be able to start having enough space in our minds to be able to discuss things multidimensionally. Immigration has become a race to the bottom in regards to discussions. Additionally we have some people that just refuse to have good faith discussions on the topic. All of that has to stop or at minimum we have to stop allowing people that are not interested in good faith discussions to even be listened to.*
Our immigration system is not pro-migrant and it is not pro-working class and the business lobby influence (again corruption) is what is holding back much much needed reform.

maybe blame the politicians in the system that are the ones that are making these narratives get toxic for everyone.
If they are falsely led I do not blame them at all

It’s always racism towards immigrants rather than any directed towards the companies that lobbied for this sht in the first place. Sometimes simping for those very companies…and they wonder why things don’t change
Very revealing of their character…
Same for the ppl defending their racism with oh but they’re angry at the companies not the ppl…yeah doesn’t seem like it

Well when the leader of the province is talking about not providing services to immigrants, makes the racist think its OK too be a little more open with the racism.
