      As much as I dislike Trump, this title is really misleading. I read the original interview in german and the quote is:

      > US-Präsident Trump hat Putin die Krim und mehrere östliche Oblaste sozusagen auf dem Silbertablett serviert

      Which translates to „US President Trump has served Putin Crimea and several eastern oblasts on a silver platter so to speak“. The title makes it sound like Trump made an actual offer.

      Zelensky himself has kind of indicated in some recent interview that ceding territory would be on the table for a peace deal. Trump aside, we need to be realistic and work towards a lasting peace deal and stop this awful war.
