      that shitty sensationalist clickbait title implies that he maybe wasn’t as nice backstage, but i clicked it so you don’t have to:

      O’Regan was shocked by the „Rebel Rebel“ singer’s comfortability giving him „unfettered access to everything, everywhere and anywhere.“

      Getting to know Bowie was an experience in itself. O’Regan found himself „surprised“ by „how pleasant he was and unprepossessing.“

      „He was very normal and that’s not what I expected from the person I’d seen on stage. He was still this English lad who hid a cigarette in his hand behind his back like he was a naughty schoolboy,“ he recalls.

      „He was also very funny. He loved to imitate people and he laughed continually. And that I didn’t expect. So I didn’t expect him to be so friendly and accommodating really is what it was, and so enthusiastic about what I was there to do.“

      Bowie was a top man. Check out the YouTube clip when he asked an MTV vj why they don’t play videos by Black artist ( look it up).

      My wife had a number of family members who were personal friends with David Bowie, and they all said he was an absolutely magnificent person.

      I think people forget these are performers who play a role/character on stage and are mostly normal people off the stage.

      This doesn’t surprise me, a friend’s grandma once met Bowie in Japan when she missed her stop on the train and ended up in a town she didn’t know. He bought her a ticket back, and waited for the train with her to make sure she caught it. I think he even bought her lunch
