How much talk is done on this film if it’s not the film of the century will make it a let down to an extent.
I’m gonna be honest. I am very not excited for this movie based off all of the material we have thus far seen.
I think Project Hail Mary will have a larger impact in both numbers and chatter. It has much wider appeal.
Good time to mention Nolan has only ever had 2 1-billion dollar movies, both were barely over the line, and both came out over a decade ago. Oppenheimer didn’t do it, Interstellar didn’t do it, not Dunkirk or Tenet or Inception.
He is a highly praised director, rightfully so, but there is a 0% chance this is anywhere close to as big as Doomsday
James Cameron could do it.
This is the same Rise of Skywalker nonsense bullshit talking point. “Already on track to be the best/biggest movie of 202X!” What does that mean? How is that measured? Who is saying that?
And we all know how beloved RoS turned out to be 🙄
They are going to hype it up to much, the year out ticket sales is already stupid
I’m all in for this, except for Matt Damon. Just seems like horrible casting. But I know without a major A-lister as the star, it wouldn’t happen. I could get behind Russell Crowe as Odysseus, but Damon just seems weird.
Oscars 2027 will be interesting to see. What else could compete with The Odyssey for Best Picture?
At this point I just trust the Nolan process enough to believe it’s gonna be an enjoyable spectacle
This is going to be the BIGGEST flop of the decade……. Guaranteed !!!! Hopefully this will remind people that Nolan is NOT be all-end all director.
