well it saves time, since you don’t have to go in to the store and collect the stuff yourself. Most of the time these pickup boxes are located in like the lobby area of the store or even in parking garages. If the Prisma is along your normal route you can save lot of time just by using the pickup, specially if you are walking, biking or using public transport it is really easy to pop in and get your stuff.

  2. This has been around for a while, it’s quite handy service. Also I think wolt does work in Finland, if you want to order stuff from store to home. Either way the store chain probably just does not want to have it’s own delivery service for cost reasons, but this is next best thing.

Maybe you’re very busy all day and don’t have the time to shop yourself.

  4. Some people just want to pick up their groceries directly without having to deal with going into the store proper nor deal with the in-store service. For instance, if one is commuting back home from work and wants to just pick up the groceries on the way back and be done with it.
Don’t see what’s wrong with it, even though it’s not really a service I would use myself.

S-group supermarkets also have some sort of same day home delivery, usually through robot or normal delivery from the smaller shops like Alepa or S-Market. Prisma also provides home deliveries but usually for the following day. I assume it is not economically nor logistically feasible to just provide same day home deliveries from a store like Prisma. It’s also environmentally catastrophic and can curtail delivery drivers worker rights if they are forced to ramp up same day deliveries for the same pay and same work schedule. Something that Amazon seems not to care for as they are notorious for being horrible for both the environment and workers’ rights.

You don’t have to use it if you don’t want to.

It typically takes almost an hour to run through the Prisma to get everything you need and then you pickup the chocolate bar you don’t need because you are hangry. Now add a toddler or two in equation and it might make sense to you too.

The scale does not exist for same day – to the door deliveries. This works really nicely, is convenient and practical.

I use prisma noutokeräys. I pay couple of euros. And they will collect everything what is the list and I will go to pick it up. It’s very handy. It’s quick. I don’t have to walk around in Prisma for at least an hour. They will delivery home. But it cost at least 9,9€. We have used it couple of time. We have childens and time is low.

I used ones Gigantti collect. I waited 45 minutes even when they did send me text that it is ready.

I think for a few items it is useless service.

  8. I guess you don’t have family? It takes 2-3 hours during rush hour to do your shopping for a big family. Why waste your time when you can just pick it up on your way home on a Friday?
