She was way too young to have been exposed to the Joel songs they’d play at public pools and friend’s mom’s minivans. That’s how my Gen X/Millennial ass got exposed to Joel. I know he’s a legend and has some amazing songs, but I still haven’t even illegally downloaded his greatest hits. He’s been talking a lot of shit lately in the press, I’m assuming it’s a publicist for a book, but it’s not been a campaign that paints him in a good light.
