The problem with Trump is that he has to not only believe he has „won“ the negotiations, the other nations are regarded strictly as opponents who must „lose“ for any deal to be acceptable in his eyes. Also he still needs tariffs to fund his absurd spending and tax cuts.
Who cares, as a Canadian we need to stop relying on the not so good USA and start opening our markets to the rest of the world. Clearly we are not the valued partner we used to be and it’s time to move on to bigger and better things.
We need to stop wasting our time and move on. This isn’t going anywhere. The UK got 10%, Japan and EU will get 15%, and then 19%+ for the rest. Tariffs are here to stay the next 3.5 years. No amount of lobbying is going to change mango’s mind.
Usa-can relations also takes a lot of place in media coverage… so stirring shit with it gives you the ability to make people forget about a certain someone and a certain island.
Can’t negotiate when you don’t have a partner. The US is a lost cause and they will drag us down if we don’t take care of ourselves.
