    1. The far right will get upset over anything. And they call everyone else snowflakes. Make it make sense.

I am entirely unsurprised that the Irish person screaming about this has *zero* knowledge of Irish history or mythology.

I’m off to troll him about the imminent threat posed by the new Muslim gang called the Hounds of the Morrigan.

    3. This is a real humdinger lol –

      >The man goes on to say that the sculpture is a sign that Muslims will take control of the country within months, and references theories about fluoride in water, Ukrainian Nazis, the history of famine aid, and brainwashing. These other claims are outside the scope of this factcheck.

    4. The far right are more British than Irish
They would call someone speaking Irish a foreigner

Jesus man religious types, in this case Christians are fucking melts.

Anyway, I for one welcome our new Muslim overlords or my name isn’t Muhammed Ibn Reilly.

    6. In this case, it’s not the maker of the video I’d be worried about – they’re clearly a lunatic – but any and all comments buying into the paranoid delusion. The ones doomscrolling and having any lingering bias confirmed

Something fluoride, something Muslims, something 5G

    8. The problem here is that the people who need to read that it’s debunked either

      won’t read it

will read it but disagree with it

will read it, agree with it, but spread bullshit disagreeing with it, or

can’t read in the first plce.

It’s a little thingy in the middle of a roundabout. I wish my life was so problem free that I could make this a problem.

Lads, why do we even need to publish such an article? Obviously this person is a complete idiot, possibly genuinely slow. Can’t we just dismiss this as nonsense?

There was a fuckin bar in Drogheda called The Star and Crescent for years ffs. There’s currently a concert hall called The Crescent. Fuck these people are insane

    12. The far right know nothing about Ireland or Irish culture. They are constantly telling on themselves. They’re totally brainwashed by a toxic mix of American social and British tabloid media.

    13. Isn’t it just ironic how the crowd who are most obsessed about the loss of our culture and history; have no idea about either of those things.

I lived in Drogheda for years, it’s literally on the street signs lol. Although, if you want to be pedantic about it then the star and crescent for Drogheda usually shows the moon underneath the star, not angled the way it currently is on that statue. I do wonder if it has been angled that way would we still have the same outrage. A lot of Drogheda folks online have been using that as the excuse for their dislike.

    15. Seen an article this morning about a Ukrainian lady that’s opened a café/bakery in Dublin, and jesus the comments underneath it….. „free rent and government subsidies while Irish huisnesses close“, „the government pay the staff for her“, all that kind of shit. Just fucking sad.

In the past, a fuckin eegit like this would be ignored to his own shite, of he was a threat he’d be locked up in an asylum of some sort.
Now we have bullshit websites who validate crazy notions like this by publishing them online.

    17. See I know this can be true, cause I seen a middle eastern lad on my walk to the dole office and thats a sign of the take over.
Like sure he has a complete Dublin accent and conforms to none of the Islamic beliefs… but like he’s a different colour so thats bad

Had a lad come up to me in the streets of Drogheda and shout this bollocks too. They are loons that need to be checked up on.

    19. Given that the are about 2% of the population, I think we’re safe enough 🤣🤣

„The man in the social media video’s comments about the sculpture being erected by a Nigerian are also puzzling given the artist is an Irish woman. “

again, this isn’t ‚puzzling‘ as Cllr Ejiro O’Hare Stratton appeared in a video promoting the statue, which is obviously where this guy got the idea that the sculptor was Nigerian. nor does the article even mention the moon (on its back) and star in the town arms. what’s the point in doing a debunking if you’ll only spend 10 mins on research?
