A critical mass of localized conflicts can and will spiral into a global war, and I’m afraid that the camel’s back is about to give out.

This conflict is to China what Russia is to Armenia and Azerbaijan. One is a weaker and more closer ally, and the other is a more economically and influential ally in the region. China cannot fully support Cambodia militarily because it does not want to push Thailand completely to the West.
Thailand can easily take over Cambodia. It might even be favorable.

I really hope for peace. But I don’t get why Thailand keeps refusing a mediator. The ICJ has already ruled twice that the disputed land belongs to Cambodia, and Cambodia keeps trying to handle things through the international route. Thailand just keeps rejecting the rulings. Clearly the two sides aren’t going to settle this on their own, but Thailand thinks they will.
Whatever happens, I just hope there’s no bloodshed, no one in either country wants that. People are scared. And it wasn’t that long ago that Cambodia went through a genocide, they don’t want to go through another whole painful ordeal.
