Is this just a skirmish that will end after a few weeks like the one between India and Pakistan or is there a chance of it escalating into something more serious?

Cambodia’s military is a tenth the size of Thailand’s. Minimal defense expenditure and no Air Force means Thailand will boss any escalation.
Even when they had the Khmer Rouge in the 1970s, Vietnam whipped the hell out of them.
