Bruh 😭. This reminds me of the Italian restaurant owner who tells the dude to be careful because he has mafia ties. Dude, no actual Georgian mafia guy is going to take the time out of his day to get the wallet of a tourist.

    3. He was not robbing him, he thought he was a drug courier and was hiding drugs in the cemetery. In Georgia, lots of drugs are sold online on Telegram where you pay with bitcoin and they give the address, gps coordinates and photo of the spot where it’s hidden. Most of the couriers are youn guys, girls, Russians and Georgians and lots of drugs are hidden at the cemeteries, buildings, parks etc. That’s why the guy who was chasing him was shouting “call police, call police”.

    4. He thought he was a drug mule and was shaking him down. You can see him yelling police.

It seems like this guy was already set on going for a certain narrative before filming this and luckily got a poor old man whose words he could twist.

Just like in modern Russia, surviving 90s mafia members in Georgia don’t have the need to engage in petty burglaries against tourists like that. They are millionaires/billionaires who have their own businesses now. This old man was probably a friend or family member of someone whose grave was getting filmed, and he didn’t want it to become a drug distribution spot, which yes it is a common thing Russian tourists do.
