You can love crypto and be honest about the objective reality that crypto and AI data mines are destroying the air quality/water/electricity/ecology/basic quality of life in urban areas and rural/small towns because no one cares what happens to poor/working class people.
We have enough innovation, technology and money to create sustainable methods to grow the datamining industry if the government cared (in general) to invest Americans‘ health. If it’s not incentivized by regulations rich people will continue to get richer on the bones of poor people.
Imagine if instead of giving Elon millions for pointless rockets there were government contracts to pay companies to create green data mining facilities + create jobs for people in those areas. Crypto was supposed to be an opportunity for everyone and it should include everyone.

That could easily be mitigated by installing an external sound proofing wall around the farm, it works for highways, why shouldn’t it work for that?
Had a neighbor who blasted their crypto mining rigs 24/7 in Los Angeles. So many complaints and threats and nothing was ever done. They were noisy as fuck every night til 5am playing video games. They still do it to this day from what I’ve heard old tenants and honestly hope they get hacked or someone steals their BTC
The noise is generated by the air conditioners and fans that cool the ASIC miners. Bitcoin mining belongs in places where it is really cold like parts of Canada with a temperature of -40 C / F during the winter not in Texas during the summer with a temperature of 40 C / 104 F.
Texas is simply the wrong place to do this.

This has nothing to do with bitcoin.
Replace that bitcoin mine with any industrial business that creates noise/pollution and it’s the same story told time and time again. Businesses placed too close to homes causing problems.
This is solely due to regulations in that county/city that allow for this business to be that close to homes.

People would complain about anything coming in generating noise 24/7. It’s not just about crypto.
Ethereum solves this.
There is no need for this facility to be this close to a residential area. Should be forced to move to a different location.
Been an issue for years and they keep voting in people that don’t speak for them or want to change things.
Also this isn’t about just Bitcoin, it’s about the state giving these types of businesses breaks or next to no regulation on where they can be. Hell Texas even pays them when they have to cut back during the months where power needs to be conserved.
