Why do we get hundreds of articles every year posted here saying the same thing, that “the walls are closing in” on Trump? Literally zero of them have been right.

    2. Taint_Liquor on

Man! I want this to unfold like it does in my head, but I know I’m just going to be disappointed again. Like all of Yam Tit’s sexual and business partners.

    3. ThistleroseTea on

It’s like they are deliberately goading Murdoch on, lol.

Two titan egos ready to fight to the death.

      „Refuses to be cowed“.

      ROFL.

    4. AdventurousGarlic326 on

It hardly seems like bravery for a billionaire media-magnate to have an assistant buzz legal but, sure let’s call it a refusal to be cowed.

Murdoch needs to do a broadcast on Fox News like they did in the Running Man film.

    6. For the Epstein conspiracy theory cranks, it must feel like Vindication Day.

After [weeks of fevered debate](https://inews.co.uk/opinion/trump-has-become-the-victim-of-his-own-conspiracy-theories-3815912?ico=in-line_link) about what information exists about child sex offender[ Jeffrey Epstein](https://inews.co.uk/topic/jeffrey-epstein?srsltid=AfmBOor6XYev5mqJzxnvEXTAYpUtw5SQ_UHyF7wmKkZMX0doXE-meVEI&ico=in-line_link), it has now been reported that there are Epstein files, [Donald Trump](https://inews.co.uk/topic/donald-trump?ico=in-line_link) is [named within them](https://inews.co.uk/news/world/white-house-rejects-report-trump-included-epstein-files-fake-news-3822450?ico=in-line_link), and his administration appears to have lied about it.

*The Wall Street Journal* and CNN are among reputable news sources reporting that Attorney General Pam Bondi told President Trump in the spring of this year that his name appeared repeatedly in the Epstein files. Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche was also in the meeting. Appearing in the documents was not a sign of any wrongdoing by Trump, and he has never been accused of wrongdoing in relation to the Epstein case. The contents of any unreleased documents are unknown.

Yet at the start of June, Trump denied he had been told his name was in the files. When a reporter for ABC News asked him if Bondi had told him his name appeared in the files, he said: “[No, no](https://abcnews.go.com/US/trump-told-bondi-appeared-multiple-times-epstein-files/story?id=124014441)”, then went on to spout the usual lines about how the files had been manufactured by Democrats.

This has now become an issue not solely of concern to Americans in tinfoil hats – it’s a concern for them all. None more so than Trump himself, who must feel his presidency rocking on its axis as a result of the scandal.

Murdoch knows he has the goods and can squeeze. He is no fool. I don’t think he is doing it on our behalf though.

    8. Hey-ThatsNotBad on

I refuse to get my hopes up (but I probably will) that the rich and powerful who enabled him will finally decide he’s outlived his usefulness and use their resources (all the dirt they’ve been sitting on) to get rid of him finally.

    9. Troll_in_the_Knoll on

Murdoch is giving Trump, the Trump treatment. When you’re no longer of use, out you go.

      **25th Amendment**

Section 4: Permits the Vice President, together with a majority of the Cabinet, to declare the President unable to fulfill their duties, even if the President does not agree. In this case, the Vice President becomes Acting President. If the President contests this assessment, Congress must decide the matter. The President resumes power unless Congress, by a two-thirds vote in both houses, declares the President is unable to discharge their duties.

      „walls are closing in“

      Fuck off.

Been seeing shit like this for fucking 8+ years as him and his party has continued to poison discourse and erode liberties. I’ll believe it when he’s in the ground and not a second before.

    12. Scullyitzme on

I cannot even fathom someone would write this after 10 fucking years of this shit

    13. Fragrant-Ball-5225 on

While I want Trump gone i hope the plan isn’t to make trump the patsy for the handling of the Epstein situation and let everyone else off the hook. These files should no nothing less than reset our government and free it from the horrible scum running it no matter who they are.

Rapist of children versus Rapist of Journalism! Both enter the ring! Which of these really really old guys will win?

      Either way America loses.

    15. rapidcreek409 on

I think the WSJ must have a Deep Throat. There is no way Murdoch wouldn’t cover his butt on some of this stuff.

    16. RonaldMcDaugherty on

I want to see him get his, but there has never been a person I’ve seen „fail upwards“ more than Donald. I hate it.

    17. rainshowers_5_peace on

No one has explained to me how this is good for Vance.

Trump intentionally stuffed the cabinet with ride or dies. Even if Trump was revealed to be Epstein and Maxwells head client, they wouldn’t vote to throw him our.

I truly don’t believe MAGA would reject him enough to give congressional Republicans any faith their jobs would be safe.

Vance will not become president unless Teump dies.

    18. Choice_Cup_3624 on

So Fox doesn’t have any pending business where they need to bribe taco?

    19. No-Tomatillo-7566 on

We learned yesterday that the birthday letter exists and who has it, so Trump’s law suit is basically shitwipe. He’d be a fool to pursue it, but he can’t very well back down without acknowledging he did write the letter to his best pedo friend forever. Murdoch pretty much owns his fat leaking ass right now. Sad thing is Murdoch could give a fig about the best interest of the country

    20. nvmenotfound on

this entire case is BS as it would open trump up for deposition and he ain’t bout to wanna be in a deposition bout epstein. murdoch knew he didn’t want the smoke.

    21. aradraugfea on

Why is it the only assholes who even emulate a spine when Trump comes to bully them are the people honestly MORE corrosive to democracy as an institution

    22. BookerLittle on

if I had a dollar for every headline from the last decade that used the phrase „the walls are closing in on Trump“ I’d have a lot of dollars but still no walls with the balls to actually squish him

    23. Spamgrenade on

Murdoch hasn’t got long left and wants to tick ‚bring down president‘ off his bucket list.

    24. justmarkdying on

      „Oooooooh, we’ve got him this time! “

I swear the fuck to God I am so sick of this goddamned VILLAINOUS PEDOPHILE getting AWAY WITH EVERYTHING. FUUUUUUUUUCK JUST MAKE IT HAPPEN SO THIS ENDS, JESUS CHRIST IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK?!

    25. Brewchowskies on

Say all you want, if you go to Fox News right now, Obama treason is the top story, and you have to scroll forever to find any mention of Epstein, and what is there is about how the republicans forced the dems to release the files in the vote last night.

So fox is still very much hedging bets on how this is going to go.

    26. Murdoch vs Trump could be bigger than Musk vs. Trump.

Murdoch and his evil empire are most to blame for the state of the world today.

    27. J-the-Kidder on

There is no reason to think that Murdoch doesn’t have more. It’s also becoming evident that he sees the benefit in killing the monster he helped create. But in the meantime, he is going to make as much money as he possibly can before dropping the guillotine. I can’t remember the commentator, but it was said „if Rupert wants you ended, he’s the most ruthless hitman there is and he doesn’t fail.“ Considering the resources, sway and power he has, nothing about that is wrong.

All that said, I’m always hesitant to think anything is the end for Trump. Until an end comes, I’m going to savor every single second he spends shitting his depends and hating life though. I think we’re at that point now. He’s flailing, trying to change the narrative and nothing is working. His depends has to be full by now, his health is deteriorating and he’s never looked worse.

    28. Has Trump tried suing him for thirty gazillion dollars instead of bazillion?

It is time for Trump to step aside and live his life in comfort on the golf course schmoozing, enjoying McDonald’s and Diet Coke as much as he wants.

The cool kids got what they wanted, and now once again are ghosting the rich kid no one likes.

    30. RepresentativeYak772 on

No, no they are not. Get out of your bubble people. You will hang on this just like all the other trials, if they couldn’t get him when he wasn’t president, what chances do they have when he IS president?

    31. Seaborn4Congress on

Murdoch already got his tax cut and his merger he doesn’t need him anymore. If the list is as bad as the theories. It will implode both major parties leadership. Murdoch can trade in his old politicians for younger models. It’s a win win

    32. CarlWellsGrave on

They’re going to make a deal with Maxwell and then a bombshell leak will contradict her testimony.

    33. thisisnotme526 on

They will all eat each other until the strongest are left, but for us common folks it makes no difference. Trading one evil person for another doesn’t help us. It just leaves us to ponder what other terrible bull shit awaits.

    34. Bmccallutah on
