    1. Foreign competitors are thrilled about that attitude and will leverage those resources to gain marked shares.

The government controlling private companies sure sounds like socialism

Isn’t all of his MAGA crap and personal merch made in China? Or does this only apply to companies solely based in the US?

Not that it is realistic anyway.

Are US citizens going to be able to take over the mantle?

How will the skills and education gap be met?

How will food stamp and hustle culture shift into skilled labour?

TACO just wants these companies to bribe him some way or another and he’ll chicken out. Same way that Skydance and Paramount are bribing him.

„Google, Apple, the Facebook, should immediately change their name to Redskins or I’ll have to do bad things. The worst even.. THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER“

Trump and the GOP are rapists and sex traffickers

Sounds like digital services companies should be included in ‚trade deficit‘ calculations….

    7. The Big Companies will make a Big Promise of looking into it. Start a Feasibility Study. Three years later, another Election. AI concludes that it will be more profitable to make Bigger Factories in China and India.

How could the Epstein files be a Democrat hoax if Epstein was arrested by Trump’s DOJ in 2019 while Trump was president? It doesn’t make sense.

    9. And yet his tax incentive to offshore American jobs to those countries says differently.

    10. Trump will say anything to deflect from Epstein. America has not worked out how they can compete with either India or China.

He has absolutely no idea how capitalism works. The very people that are his ‚peers‘ are the ones who became rich by sending jobs overseas. People just like him are the reason it happened in the first place.

    12. Republicans spent 40 years making sure companies could maximize profit with absolutely no thought about the consequences. Now, pedophile President Trump thinks he can just wave a wand and suddenly reverse course.

The only thing Rapey McRapeface is going to do is crash the economy. Companies only have a responsibility to their shareholders, so they will do what is most profitable. Hiring American workers is not profitable, so they’re going to turn to AI and automation instead.

      Nope.

Next time this week; *I never said that. I can’t intervine in their business, I am not Obama.*

This “announcement” is trumps way of asking for bribes.

Even if it is, it’s too late.

Has he seen the factories in China, many are autonomous now and work 24/7 .

    15. Nope, they are going to leave. They are going to voluntarily leave for greener pastures. Our citizens will be given the choice to move to [country] or lose their jobs. All their materials will be sold off, land sold off, assets moved as possible, but mostly sold off.

Then what will trump do? Ask for their new parent countries to … send them back?

    16. It’s not just India and China. The company I work for is hiring in the nordic countries (not saying which one). My counterpart over there makes about half of what I make with a similar cost of living in his city. We opened an office there are are doing most of our hiring there. Another batch of hiring is in Canada, where folks there make a bit less as well. In the end, companies are going to hire where it’s cheap, whether in Europe or Canada or wherever. No, I’m not terribly happy about it, but it is reality

Right… decades of globalization can be undone with the stroke of a pen. Sure thing.

    18. Change the laws to disincentivize offshoring. All of the lip service over the past decades doesn’t do anything to change corporate behaviors.
