He’s not a great comedian, sober or not. He’s definitely a vibe and people are drawn to him, but that’s separate from him as a comedian
That would assume he was a very good comedian when he was not sober. He’s like a 12 year old in a grown man’s body, and there’s nothing wrong with that, but let’s not mistake for laughing with a comedian, it’s laughing at the comedian in his case. That’s not say he hasn’t done funny stuff, he certainly has, but he’s no fucking Richard Pryor over here.

He’s never been funny. He has a vulnerable dumb quality that works for sketch comedy, but as a comedian, he sucks.
