Die ESB hat die EV -Ladequoten erneut erhöht, was es schwieriger macht, die Verwendung ihres öffentlichen Netzwerks zu rechtfertigen, wenn das Gebühren für die Heimatverletzung weitaus billiger ist.

    In diesem Tempo könnte die öffentliche EV -Aufladung bald so viel kosten wie Benzin oder Diesel, was einen der Hauptgründe untergräbt, warum Menschen auf Elektrik wechseln.

    Fehlt ESB die Marke hier?

    1. It doesn’t need to be cheaper than home charging, it just has to be cheaper than the competition.

    2. This will really convince people to ditch their petrol powered vehicles. If we’re getting fleeced anyway then what’s the point?

      Maybe I’m just cynical but I see charges going to way more once the majority of people have switched to EV. Excise duty from fuel is a massive earner for the government and they are going to have to replace it somehow.

      There is truly no fucking escaping taxes and charges. The only thing more frustrating than getting charged up the arse for stuff like this, is knowing where that money is going… 🙃

      This was always going to happen in one way or another. Eventually electric cars will cost the same to run as current ICE cars do.

      The government brings in €3 billion+ a year in excise tax from fuel. You think they are just going to let that money walk away?
