Um es kurz zu machen: Der Partner wurde operiert und brauchte unmittelbar danach wegen eingeschränkter Mobilität Hilfe. Ich dachte, ich müsste dafür Urlaub nehmen, also nahm ich mir ein paar Tage Zeit.
Wenn man jedoch noch einmal über diese Situation liest, gibt es etwas namens "Pflegezeit"Dabei haben Arbeitnehmer Anspruch auf vorübergehende Freistellung zur Pflege naher Familienangehöriger, die von der Pflegeversicherung des Angehörigen bezahlt wird.
Mit diesen neuen Informationen wandte ich mich an die Personalabteilung, um rückwirkend zu versuchen, meine Urlaubstage zurückzufordern, indem ich den Nachweis der Klinik vorlegte, dass mein Partner zwei Tage lang engmaschige Pflege benötigte. Sie antworteten, dass sie das nicht tun könnten und dass ich für diese Situation tatsächlich meine Urlaubstage hätte verbringen müssen.
Hatte jemand schon einmal eine ähnliche Situation? Ist die Personalabteilung hier einfach nur faul/inkompetent oder übersehe ich etwas?

I think you might mean „pflegeunterstützungsgeld“ which is paid when you take unpaid leave to take care of someone.
As far as I know if you used vacation days you can’t get them back after it already happened.
Normally you need to take unpaid leave and then ask the health insurance of the person you’re caring for after the „pflegeunterstûtzungsgeld“
You should call your partners health insurance and ask them directly.
Without all the infos we can’t tell you for sure how it is in your case.
