Those who don’t speak out for the victims of the current genocide will be the targets of a future one.

Won’t pass gun control but will enforce face mask control. Still feeling like you’re living in the land of the free?

    3. TL;DR, basically anyone suspected of aiding illegal immigrants, which will include those protesting ICE or aiding protests to ICE, will be arrested. Their crime? Aiding criminals. What criminals? Illegal immigrants. How did they aid them? They protested their arrest.

The United States is headed straight toward autocracy…a speedrun of the 1930s’s. The fact that this is not a bipartisan issue should be ringing alarm bells across the country (and world).

    6. >As part of expanding its definitions of criminal activity to include forms of protest responding to ICE

A sanitized way of saying „ICE is fabricating excuses to justify arresting people“. *Literally* taking conduct that was *not* criminal before and saying it *is* criminal now.

    7. Anyone can make anything a crime. But to think cops can make things a criminal act and then enforce them? Nah. It doesn’t work like that. They’ll try tho. Let them try. Good trouble.

    8. In 1933 following the Reichstag fire, Hitler persuaded President Hindenburg to issue a decree that abolished most civil liberties, including the freedom of speech, assembly, and protest. This allowed the Nazis to crack down violently on political enemies, particularly the Communist Party.

So they made free speech a crime? What is next? Anybody that ever votes gop again is a fucking idiot.

    10. ICE does not make laws so they can’t claim they are criminalizing aiding protests….

Requiring an email address is a form of payment because they will turn around and sell it.

If peaceful protest is illegal then there’s no point in them being peaceful anymore is there?

    13. They are setting the stage for armed conflict. Which will lead to marshall law which will lead to the cancellation of elections which will lead to civil war. Its coming.

There are four boxes of liberty. This would fall under „soap box“ as would the Colbert cancellation and defunding of NPR. There’s also the jury box, but they’re attacking judges and the rule of law. Then there’s the ballot box. They’re using gerrymandering and voter suppression to attack that one too. That leaves only one box.

„Congress shall make no law… abridging… the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances“  …. „crush these rebels!“   ~ Red coats i mean red hats.

What about those aiding in protecting trump from the Epstein debacle? Feels like aiding and abetting after the fact. Guessing anyone who has reasonable knowledge of trump’s offenses and takes an affirmative action to prevent the law is culpable as an accessory…right?

    17. So they’re going to start to arrest citizens who are protesting. Just like in Russia, Venezuela, etc.

    18. ICE wants to silence lawful protests by terrifying protesters with threats of constitutional rights violations, because that’s all this is.

It is NOT a crime to protest. It is NOT a crime to provide lawful assistance to protestors.

ICE can claim whatever they wish, but they do not have the power to write their own laws, and even if they did have the power to *regulate* protests via departmental regulations (they do NOT), that power would not include modifying the United States Constitution.

      Fuck you, ICE.

    19. And „we“ just gave the secret police 140.billion dollars over four years.

*Points to picture of Trump with Epstein.*

    21. „criminals tend to hang out with criminals“

like trump and epstein, or trump and flynn, or trump and basically any republican around him

    22. Is this article sensationalizing things? Sounds like someone got wrongly arrested for handing out PPE, but I don’t think any law was passed to criminalize anything? Did I misread something?

    23. Atouchofexcitement on

So are you gonna go after/fine/arrest all the white republican businessmen that are hiring undocumented workers at slave wages so they can save money? I highly doubt that.

If the Administration can turn civil laws into criminal laws, and make laws up, what stops them from declaring entire groups of people illegal or criminal?

    26. >“I think we all know that criminals tend to hang out with criminals,“ ICE deputy directer Madison Sheahan said.

Guilt by association too. Boy, Republicans really do hate the constitution, huh?
