Our refugee system is ruled with abuse. If students cannot get PR then they apply for asylum, which is very very generous. You get about $220 a day, tax free.

When the right is not complaining we’re letting too many people in, the left is complaining not enough. Politics is hard in Canada these days. We have the right people at the wheel. Poilievre would have not only enacted something like this but would have used it to the extreme.

    3. This isn’t going to bring tariffs down, this is a way for the USA and Palantir Technologies to gain access to surveillance and get data privacy information of Canadians to use as they please!

      Bill C2 is absolutely awful.

But how are we doing this to appease the states? Havent our own police forces been pushing this for over a decade? Wasnt the first-time this was attempted un Harper, then again under Trudeau?

If anyone is familiar with Naomi Klein’s book *Shock Doctrine*, I’ve been wondering whether this whole thing with the US is going to be the emergency that the Canadian neo-liberals use to try to slash spending and privatize everything. Can anyone else that’s read the book, or is familiar with the idea, chime in and let me know your thoughts on that?
