For comparison, the house took their summer recess in 2024 from August 2 to September 8. In 2023, it was from July 31 to September 3. In 2022, it was from August 1 to September 5. Basically, it is always the entire month of August and part or all of the first week in September. Starting with a week and a half left in July is incredibly unusual and hasn’t happened at all in recent history. There is no way to pass this off as just a coincidence or part of normal routine.
