Create a new seed phrase and immediately move all the crypto to the new account.

i can’t imagine a scenario where i would ever be both interacting with police and in direct possession of my seed phrase.

Unless I suddenly turn into a criminal, I think the police can sit this one out.

Why would you ever want to write down your seed phrases in the first place? Memorize it.

Someone access the wallet and See what Funds it had?
Don’t keep your seed phrase in your car or worse, on you.

From my experience with police, I can’t even imagine how could this even happen. But this is USA, which is famous for crapy police officers. Also, why do you carry phrase with you on a big piece of paper?

Hopefully he didn’t have any considerable amount of crypto on that wallet because it is not secured like that once soever. The only thing that I could see is being practical in is if you had a seed phrase like that that you just put small amounts of money in to buy food and what not and possibly have a passphrase tied to that seed phrase?

That’s why I don’t have the 25th word written down. Not in the same place, anyway. Gives me enough time to migrate it to a new wallet.

Don’t end up in a situation like this by not keeping your seed phrase in your car 😂
Also, if there’s any possible way someone can get a hold of your seed phrase, just encrypt that shit. It’s not that hard. Even a very simple cypher will buy you enough time if someone gets a hold of it.
And you can also split it. Another really easy way to avoid any mess like that.
But if that happens, quickly move your funds to a new wallet before the body cam footage gets published. However, it looks like in this case (from what the cop is holding) he has both the paper wallet and the backup seed phrase in the same place. ☠

Write down multiple dummy phrase cards that are encrypted a second time so even if they have the correct list they don’t have the secondary encryption seed.

That’s why it’s better to have a 25th word, and just remember the 25th. Don’t ever write the 25th word.

This is why we keep back up seed phrases stored in a cloud behind multiple layers of encryption.

I would move my funds to a new wallet. Simple. The body cam footage wouldn’t be available to the public right away.

This is uhh.. this is a crypto phrase..
Why are you riding around with it in your car?
If you absolutely have to write your seed or private key down, at least use [Caesar cipher](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caesar_cipher) when you do it.
