A good number of headlines on this topic start with „First nations leaders divided“ Certainly there are many voices among the First Nations community just like everywhere else in Canada. Not sure why that’s a headline. We’ll keep working on it one issue at a time.
Quite frankly Ford is speaking the Truth that should be spoken by softer voices lol . Hes to much of a bull in a China shop with his words but he is accurate in this and the same cannbe said for bill C-5.
The media uses it for drama and some people on the left cherry pick it to virtue signal.
The Truth is there is over 600 first nations, so e support this , some oppose it but the majority are just skeptical of it .

I do like Carneys approach, though ..Really hes using it in general with everything he does . Hes walking a straight path calmly down the center while not engaging with veiws from either extreme wings when he doesn’t have to . This has kept the temperature low.
