These are all from the first year. It would only worsen from there on out.

No wars in history match the scale of brutality displayed by the Nazis in Eastern Europe. The closest contenders, Genghis Khan and the Ancient Romans, still never stooped to the level of industrialized slaughter as the Nazis. Between 1941 and 1945, for the people of the Soviet Union, there was no difference between war and genocide.
My cousin has a collection of his family’s war pictures from the German side, he said he noticed that the pictures stopped being taken when the Germans started losing.
What tanks is that in image 3?
Image 6 looks like a Ilyushin DB-3 to me, not a Tupolev.
It’s crazy how advanced the German army was compared to any civilian stuff in the region

Can anyone tell me how a >100% casualty rate is possible?
