It’s a losing political proposition to go to these urban core parades, this shouldn’t come as much of a surprise. They always seem to descend into infighting over some fringe left-wing movement like BLM or pro-palestine. I think it’s a fair bet that will happen to this one too.
It’s the same reason Ford goes to the York Region one instead of Toronto.
I may be in the minority on this, but I really don’t care whether leaders choose to attend this or any of the various ethnic festivals, pancake breakfasts, or hot dog eating contests and that occur over the summer throughout Canada.
