Why the Ka52 was firing rockets from close range instead of laser guided or infrared missile from longer range ? Using a modern helicopter to fire rockets sounds contra productive.

It is interesting that in Russia they even put monuments to Prigozhin, but the losses of the Russian Ministry of Defense from Prigozhin’s fighters:
