We’ve been hearing about postmortem election autopsies by the GOP and the DNC for years after losses. Neither is capable or interested in self reflection. They will double down on the same stuff and just hope the other party performs slightly worse in swing states next time around. Same as it ever was.

Let’s get some people into politics who actually have something to lose.

This could be a smart way to look at it. The reasons 2024 happened the way it did go way beyond the strategic and messaging decisions in this one election. There are systemic and structural issues that democratic policies for 30+ years have contributed to, which have slowly but surely alienated middle-class and working class Americans. A longer-term post-mortem is necessary to identify these issues and develop a plan to address them.
Since it’s Democrats, however, they’ll focus on messaging and never bother to consider whether they have structural problems. They’ll end up blaming the voters for being too dumb or too sexist, etc., instead of their own failures. Just like they always do.

Look up Jane Kleeb and it makes sense how the Democratic Party is a controlled opposition party. She’s a Republican that’s been wearing a Democratic cloak for 10 years to gain one-party power to prevent any meaningful action.
The problem was inflation. They were in charge during a poor economic time which is very rare for democrats. At the same time we had a very uninspiring president who couldn’t communicate properly to Americans. Next time don’t gaslight the country when they are struggling.
DNC: „how can we win elections?“
Mamdani: „I can show you! Make concrete, specific promises that will directly help all your constituents with their cost of living! Ignore what the elites want and focus on helping actual voters directly!“
DNC: „no, not like that“

We’re so fucked. The DNC is more interested is justifying their terrible decisions, rather than actually saving the party from themsleves. I think the Democratic party should just be put out of its misery, it’s just pointlessly suffering at this point, it cant survive much longer anyways. These old fucks have no interest in anything but saving face.
I canceled my Act Blue donations a while ago. The DNC is a center-right shit show unconcerned with people.

Relitigating one off decisions like not forcing Biden out (or how one would even do that) seems fine. The decision to not have a primary though should be revisited. This has come up again and again and it’s clear that the chaos of a primary is preferable to the the optics of a coronation. democrats aren’t republicans. They aren’t looking for a king.
At this point they, for the most part, feel like controlled opposition to keep things status quo for their corporate donors.

How is there not an actual investigation into actual events of election fraud every single presidential election.
We practically know that the don would do everything he could get people who he can blackmail or manipulate to do whatever they can do to fraud the system. Why arent people doing whatever they can to prove that hes just as fraudulent as he says everyone else is.

The catastophic election defeat engineered by the Democratic Establishment should have resulted in mass resignations/terminations. And instead… nothing changed. Deny, deflect, admit no fault. This political party is stupid, ineffective, corrupt, and undemocratic. It is positively Trumpian. Burn it down.
The Democratic party would rather lose than win by going to the left. Their purpose is to serve as managed resistance while still allowing the business friendly agenda to continue to roll through Congress. This is why when a truly progressive candidate like Bernie or Zohran gains any momentum, they fight tooth and nail to prevent that candidate from achieving anything. Even now party leadership won’t endorse Zohran because his politics and platform threatens the only thing the Democratic party actually cares about, their corporate donors.

Establishment Democrats will never actually go all the way with self reflection because for all the talk, they still serve the same Billionaire class that Trump’s fascists do. And so long as the majority of Democrats continue to serve Billionaires, they will continue to mount ineffective, milquetoast opposition to Trump’s policies, which further nornalizes fascism.
The clock is ticking for a viable third party to gain momentum for the midterms and 2028 election. Any progressive party that rises has my vote, fuck the dems.
