No, I rather think the end was about three minutes after Pedro signed off.

I mean, it shouldn’t continue past the game 2 plot. The ending is ambiguous as hell. Not to mention this show doesn’t entirely deserve a fourth season, especially one that will have basically zero plot direction from its source material. That sounds frightening.

I’m not one of those weirdos from the last of us part 2 sub. In fact I think the part 2 game is excellent, and I don’t even think Bella Ramsey is a bad actor but what they did to Ellie the character was just crazy to me. To make her this zany character just felt so out of touch with the game. It was forgivable in season 1 as it was a slightly more cartoonish version of Ellie, but season 2 Ellie was nothing like part 2 Ellie. I’ve still got the final episode to go and I just can’t bring myself to finish the final season I started to dislike it that much

There’s not really much of a story without Joel. Ellie isn’t interesting enough as the main character, she works better as a supporting side kick.

I say this as someone who enjoyed playing Part 2 quite a lot:
The response to Part 2 (the game) was incredibly polarizing. Even beyond the expected sources of knee-jerk haters, there’s some valid criticisms to be lobbed at it. It’s not a surprise in the slightest that the TV show has struggled to faithfully adapt in a satisfying way the incredibly polarizing story from the game.
Frankly, I’m shocked that they didn’t make more of a meal out of the largely beloved first game and stretch it into two seasons. Or devote Season 2 of the show entirely to filling in the somewhat unexplored territory between Games 1 and 2.
