      Trump knows he’d get cooked with discovery on this case.

      BTW, don’t think Rupert is a good human being. He’s using this as leverage to remind Trump who put him into power in the first place. This is an orchestrated event that will end in Trump dropping his lawsuit and making sure Maxwell gets a new trial.

      Everything will be status quo in a month with nothing released.

      I assume, since Murdoch fancies himself a ‚king-maker‘, this is him proposing to sideline Trump and get the full Fox backing for President Couchfucker.

      I’m thinking a lot of rich people want to jettison Trump before he completely destroys the economy. At this point, Vance is easier to control than Trump. He’s less influential and less crazy, although I expect being elevated to President will go to his head and he’ll quickly get too far forward on his skis.

      I fully expect Murdoch to cave since they all always do but boy do I miss the days of the *real* Washington Post:

      Things are pretty dark in America now.

      Release the Epstein Files. Bring all of it out of the darkness and into the light, no matter who it is.

      – When Rupert Murdoch dies the trust that owns News Corp., and thus Fox News, NYPost, and the WSJ, [will be inherited by the 4 Murdoch siblings](www.nytimes.com/2024/12/09/business/media/rupert-lachlan-murdoch-family-trust.html), 3 of whom disagree with Rupert and eldest son Lachlan’s politics. They’ll likely change editorial leadership at those media properties quickly.

      – Pope Francis died within 24 hours of meeting JD Vance.

      – Rupert Murdoch is _94 years old_ and just met with JD Vance.

      Vance as President terrifies me more than Trump.  Here is why I am skeptical and think that it won’t make much of a difference if Trump is gone, whether he passes away due to illness or is removed from office, but please correct me if I’m wrong.

      MAGA will still control all three branches of government until January 2027 at the earliest
      Vance is controlled by the Heritage Foundation AND billionaire tech bros like Thiel, people who control all nearly all forms of media and the religious fanatics, two very powerful forces 
      Despite having zero charisma, Vance can speak complete sentences and is coherent, making it seem like a “upgrade” to MAGA followers and that things are “more under control”
      Only a small percentage will break off, not enough to give us reprieve and overcome the gerrymandering and voter suppression tactics they plan to engage in. 
      MAGA is so greedy and racist that it won’t matter who’s in charge as long as they keep up with the greed and hate.

      Vance wants Trump in a noose so that he can take his job. Peter Thiel might want the same thing.

      We will see where this goes.

      Puppet masters are getting reading to pull some strings.
      Chaos agent „Krasnov“ served his purpose, but now his health is too defective.

      Murdoch will be explaining to Vance that his news organization is about to defenestrate Trump.

      So Vance had better be ready to step up to the plate and, of course, Fox News will be there to help ensure he hits the ground running.

      Part of me is waiting for this to be revealed as a calculated move. WSJ makes a claim it can’t prove, Trump sues, News Corp. settles for some token amount, and they get to point at the case and go “See? Nothing to it!”

      Rupert backing another horse. Trump is done. I am an Aussie and Murdoch has been working over political systems since the 1950’s. First in Australia, then the UK and for the last 30 years in the US. He’s seen it all before and knows everything about everybody. Absolute ghoul but understands power better than anybody else on Earth.

      So on Tuesday the VP meets with a right-wing media mogul, and Thursday one of his outlets publishes a story fanning the flames of a potentially presidency-ending scandal?

      Remind me again who becomes president if Trump suddenly resigns or is impeached?

      I don’t think this was about fundraising.
