Doug Ford should just come out and endorse Mark Carney at this point. Not sure why he is even bothering with the national Conservative Party.

      Easy for him to say!

Did he forget that PP is unpalatable to all but the right wing fringe? You have to stay in your own lane!!!

    3. Doug Ford is the good kind of conservative. The typical classic conservative. Doesn’t hate anybody. Doesn’t want to hurt and troll people. He just wants to be a regular crook and scam taxpayers out of money for him and his developer friends.

Missed in the war of words between Ford’s camp and Poilievre’s camp is that Ford won the leadership of the Ontario PCs with the support of a lot of very extreme figures and then over his first term purged most of them. Most obvious example is the social conservative candidate Tanya Granic Allen whose second preferences in that leadership race got Ford over the line, only for Allen to then be removed as a PC candidate before the election.

Other instance of this is Jamil Jivani – I don’t think any of the commentary about him unloading on Ford on election night found the time to mention that he had worked for Ford’s government as an advisor and then was fired for attacking Ford et al over COVID restrictions (he’s literally been quoted called Stephen Lecce a “liberal elite”). A lot of the crazies fired by Ford are part of the Poilievre operation and that’s a large part of the dynamic between the two camps.

    5. The missed the second part:

„Just stick to blatant corruption and ideas and action so awful it kind bends time and space enough that people seem to really like it even though they say daily that they don’t.“
