He is a Blue Liberal/Red Tory. Period.
His periods of central bank governance was under Conservative parties.
Now that being said I think progressive minded folks are hoping for more of the Value(s) and The Reith Lectures Carney as I have said before..
If the NDP was smart and could get their communications finally figured out they would realize this is a good time to be putting themselves forward as the filling and cementing of the progressive space.

From vibes and forced optimism to policy that based on real politik and harsh realities.
I do think canada needs some.more social policies but we cant afford them as the previous pm forgot about growing the economy or nation building.
Feel we need to spend a few years to the middle to afford more social policies that people want.
Haven’t we had enough of progressiveness under Trudeau ? Our wages are stangnant, how prices are out of reach of regular folks, record high unemployment rates, record high homelessness but we got weed ?
Between the feds and the provinces, government debt totals $3 Trillion, or $110K CAD debt per working age Canadian. We are currently undergoing the largest wave of retirement in history. Youth unemployment is 17.5%. And the author is arguing we should… stop selling resources and… not cut government spending? Hilarious. I’m so glad they took a break from waving their genitals at traffic to write this.
