Cue up the “I didn’t know that was in there when I voted on it” chorus.
From my journalism era I knew people at WNYC and WXPN and NPR; those sources had some of the best news and music programs. This is truly heartbreaking on a personal level.

There was a time immediately after Helene hit Western North Carolina where the only way to get any information about what was going on was on our local NPR station. We had no Internet, no cell service, no power. WNCW was running on generators to be able to get info out to the community. Fuck Tillis and Budd for voting for this bill.
