    1. “Squid Game” was nowhere to be found when the Television Academy announced Emmy nominations Tuesday morning, a disappointing showing for the record-breaking show that won six Emmys for its first season.

    2. A show can be popular without being award worthy. And many of tv’s best shows have been overlooked, it’s a tale as old as time.

I didn’t think I’ve ever seen a popular show have a less talked about final season. Absolutely no-one I know who watched 1&2 bothered with the last bit.

Squid Games is definitely something that should have been a limited series. The first season had a great arc and was a fresh concept but 2 and 3 seem like they were tacked on because the first season was so successful

This is like the people complaining that Justin Bieber or Beyonce not getting Grammys.

I really love the show even the last season despite its flaws but it’s not something that deserves any kind of recognition for awards.

I watched the first several episodes of the studio and thought it was alright, did it get massive critical appraise or something? It’s up for so many awards.

Every time Netflix releases a new thing and it “sets records” in viewership, it’s because it’s the new thing. Not because it’s good.

It’s like an artist’s or band’s record sales soaring after the one that got them a bunch of notoriety. The new record’s (probably) not better than the last one, but it’s the new one and more people are aware of them since the last one dropped.

This is fucking hilarious. It’s like hearing coal miners voted Harlan County and Matewan as the greatest movies ever made.

The Studio is only getting nominations because it has a bunch of celebrities cameos. For anyone wondering that’s like waving money in someone’s face. It tricks them into thinking another narrative.

It was just ok. It was entertaining but it wasn’t anything groundbreaking or phenomenal for seasons 2 or 3.

    12. I mean it was a bad season, and tbh what was expected. What made the first season so great was for its novelty. Remove that, and most of its luster goes away.

Only reason why I watched it despite knowing it would never live up to the first season was because the first season was just that amazing.

The Studio really? This is just the movie industry patting each other on the back.

Squid Games was a content creator dream for views but even they know it’s over and it’s no longer the IT thing anymore despite the ratings.

And Netflix pretty much have you just tuning in the background for a time and it registers the ratings.

I’m more excited for Alice in Borderland.
