No one should be surprised, but everyone should be angered by the fact that Erdogans and Aliyevs blood money line the pockets of politicians in the US.
Anyone who speaks positively about the current Turkish dictatorship is instantly outed as someone most likely taking bribes.
This isn’t new. When the genocide was happening many Turks with means were rubbing elbows with the noble and rich in the UK. They knew then how to infiltrate in order to gain their means to an end.
Look at how far it got them, they literally committed genocide against a Christian nation and they have a seat in NATO (joined 1952). They’re still involved in global affairs. The Lira isn’t worth shit and he moved like he’s running the most powerful nation in the world.

These opinions are not too uncommon for American politicians.
In my time dealing with Americans, I was astounded at their ignorance.
And US customs is horrible to deal with lmfao. Anyone who took a vacation in Iran will have their time wasted exponentially.
AFAIK, the US ambassadors to Turkey were always selected from senior career diplomats. The current ambassador started in May 2025 and he is not a career diplomat. He is a Trump ally and real estate investor. If you read his Wikipedia page, you will see he is an “interesting” guy who has very strong connections with Gulf states as well.
He probably only expressed his own opinions (or borderline fantasies). But the US state of international affairs is also shambolic nowadays.
Don’t take this guy’s words to seriously. He likes to talk alot.
This week he had to backtrack implying that the USA wanted Syria to dominate Lebanon politically.

Every request about road inside Armenia “Zangezur corridor” for that matter, must also requires same privileges given to Armenia from both Turkey and Azerbaijan. Black sea corridor(372km) and Caspian sea corridor (350km). Armenia should be more vocal about this request as it they seems
