The church burning already showed religious minorities aren’t safe in Canada, although going after the Jews after the Catholics is a reversal of the usual pattern.

Growing up in a small town outside of Ottawa I was psychically assaulted, spat on, made fun of, had pennies thrown at me, kids waved Nazi salutes at me all because I’m Jewish, these where what the kids did to me.
Growing up we (my family) at times recieved death threats for being Jewish, this is what the Adults did to us.
Not everyone in town was bad, most people where fine but Antisemitism, especially at school, was a common theme of my experience, both in Elementary and High School.
Having talked with my fellow Canadian Jews from all over the political and religious spectrum the only ones to have not experienced direct Antisemitism where those that went to Jewish private schools, those that went to public schools did and do experience direct Antisemitism and from what I have heard it has legitimately gotten worse on average.
My experience may have been on the worse end for my generation of Canadian Jews but for later generations it’s caught up to being normal for them and in some cases they have it worse now then I ever did.

For all you saying oh it’s just criticizing Israel and not actually antisemitic, here is the first two paragraphs of the article.
> A six-year-old child’s teacher told her she was “half human” because one of her parents was Jewish – one of nearly 800 antisemitic incidents in the Ontario elementary and high school system since 2023 reported to a federally commissioned survey.
>
> Others included a 13-year-old girl being swarmed several times a day by classmates who raised their hands in a Nazi salute even as she begged them to stop, and Jewish children told by their teachers they were baby-killers for supporting Israel in its war with the militant group Hamas.
>
I’m sure a six-year-old is totally a devout „Zionist“ /s. And maybe those thirteen year olds throwing up salutes were just disagreeing with Israels action…..
Give your heads a shake.

These stats are meaningless when someone saying “Free Palestine” or wearing a keffiyeh are considered “antisemitic incidents”.

[Data from the US](https://x.com/davidshor/status/1888294957368201310). There’s a really steep generational difference.
