Arizona. A surprising amount of people think the state is just a flat desert but it has a stunning variety of different landscapes and ecosystems

I’ll go with Idaho, myself. It’s a state not talked about enough, but maybe that’s a good thing. Keeps it pristine and all the people who shouldn’t be in natural places out.

New Mexico is severely underrated too

Idaho is underrated for its scenery due to the well-documented white supremacy that engulfs the state

As pretty as that canyon is, the strip mall on the rim makes me cringe every time. Idaho is neat, but that will always be a poor building choice in my book lol.

Wisconsin.
It’s all very flat, but there’s a really cool area called the Driftless Region that gets completely overlooked and has a really cool vibe

I’d say Idaho is a good choice. It’s surrounded by states that have a pretty solid reputation, but it definitely holds its own.
