    1. Sounds like someone just translated „Snow“ to „Lunta“ from a dictionary, without knowing it should be „Lumi“ instead. „Lunta“ is partitive form of „lumi“ and means essentially „some amount of snow“. Now the name sounds like „Heikki Some-amount-of-snow“ or something to that effect.

      Names in Finnish are always in the nominative, so it should be „Lumi“. It’s a typical mistake for English speakers, because English doesn’t have partitive and just uses the nominative.
