Spacex-Libellen fliegt zwischen den Sternen des Deep Space und einem Meer von Wolken über dem pazifischen Ozean, der vom roten oberen Atmosphäre-Luftglühen beleuchtet wurde (die F-Region bei 630 nm aufgrund von atomem Sauerstoff). Der rote Airglow ist in Bildern mit einer Exposition von weniger als einer Sekunde in der Regel schwach, aber hier mit einer Belichtung von 20 Sekunden ist es hell.

    Nikon Z9, Sigma 14mm F1.4 Objektiv, 20 Sekunden, F1.4, ISO 6400, unter Verwendung meines hausgemachten Orbital -Sidereal -Trackers bei 0,064 Grad pro Sekunde (Sterne sind Punkte, aber Drache ist verschwommen), in Photoshop, Levels, Kontrast und Farbe angepasst.

      SpaceX Dragon flies between the stars of deep space, and a sea of clouds over the Pacific Ocean lit by the red upper atmospheric airglow (the f-region at 630nm due to atomic oxygen). The red airglow is typically faint in images with exposures less than a second but here with a 20 second exposure, it is bright.

    2. Nice photo. This is a long-exposure photo so other airglow layers located lower down are over-exposed. The narrow green layer (most visible near the edges) is also due to atomic oxygen at 557.7 nm. The orange glow is due to neutral sodium, at 589.0 nm & 589.6 nm, and that is from meteors burning up in the atmosphere.

    3. If ever there’s evidence /r/space has been infested by irrational partisans, it’s how this post by an experienced astronaut and excellent photographer is being poorly voted (at least at the time of this comment).
