Baikal-GVD ist ein Neutrino-Detektor im Südbecken des Baikalsees, 3,6 km vom Ufer entfernt, in einer Tiefe von etwa 1,3 km. Es wird für die Multi-Channel-Astronomie verwendet, eine neue leistungsstarke Methode zur Untersuchung des Universums. Wissenschaftler planen, die Galaxienentwicklung, die Bildung von supermassiven schwarzen Löchern und Partikelbeschleunigungsmechanismen zu studieren.

Do you mean multi-messenger astronomy? I have no idea what the words are in Russian, but in English, it’s multi-messenger.
So apparently there are hundreds of the devices shown in this picture on different lines that stretch all the way to the sea floor. I had to look it up as this looked way too small of an instrument to detect neutrinos.
