It seems correct. I don’t know old Norse but the Icelandic word for strength and strong are styrkur and sterkur (male) respectively. Old Icelandic usually skips the last ‚u‘ as in your post.

~~This says sterkr (as it says in the screenshot). That means „strong“ in the masculine form, not „strength“.~~

It says *sturkr* (thanks for the correction).

I would not trust randoms on the internet for this, to be honest. Ask someone with actual knowledge of not just old Norse, but apparently Older Futhark (judging by the runes). I don’t know if that particular runic alphabet would have been used for this purpose by old Norse speakers.

    3. Styrkr is indeed „strength“. I’m not sure whether the „y“ would be more likely to share a rune with „i“ then „u“. That’s something to run by someone that really knows runes.

As others have said if you want it to be authentic run this by someone that actually knows this stuff. Nonsensical runic tattoos are becoming the new chinese shopping list tattooos.

      Hope it turns out cool!

    4. Ask the nerds on r/norse … or use the word Sterkur og sterk, as in YOU are „strong“
