52 years ago, the US could send men to the Moon. Now it can send innocent people to El Salvador without due process. How the tables have turned.
Truly a fantastic rocket especially for its time. If only we had kept the pace we did during the space to today
1966 we could go to the moon. 2025 we have difficulty getting to orbit.
Unlike Starship, the Saturn V never blew up and made it to orbit on its first launch (Apollo 4)
Why is there always at least one pos to turn everything good into a negative political comment. This is a nice photo of an amazing event, why can’t we just enjoy it for what it is?
I was on TV life watching that as a little kid. And then, days later, my mom woke me up in the middle of the night (Europe) to watch them walking on the moon. Man, that was the most exciting thing in my young life!
Saturn V is one of my all time favorite rockets. It just has a nice sleekness and raw power to it that draws me to it.
