    1. That is a full time score: No TMO for most of the game & score board was poorly updated during the game

That’s the half-time score? Did they just give up for the second half?

How does a game like this serve any purpose? Could anyone enlighten me?

Portugal – insert meme – “ they had us in first half, I’m not gonna lie“

Two reasons why I can’t get behind rugby…

      1) Only a handful of nations take it in anyway seriously, leading to the above results.

      2) The residency rules are a joke. Lowe, Hanson, Aki etc playing for Ireland after being here a wet week is ridiculous and that goes for a significant amount of countries.

I think these games were meant to give the home teams some exposure to a tier one team, which they always cry out for and will be even more limited to once the new world league starts. And then also to give our younger players a chance to get into the setup and play.

Not really many other options we could have played considering other fixtures (we could have booked them in earlier obviously to secure say Argentina or Japan) but both of them and any non European games would involve a massive amount of travel and time difference to play non glamour tour.

I think we should be sending B or young teams to play emerging or tier 2 teams each year though

    7. I don’t know the setup in Portugal or what their situation is but back in the day 95 to be exact the AB’s put 145 on Japan and Lomu didn’t play lol so things can change we also have put triple figures on Italy (twice?) and they have had some scalps since then so you know

      *shrugs*

It’s hard to believe both teams have won the same amount of World Cup knockout games.
