I feel like, about every three days, I see a Reddit headline about Trump’s approval „collapsing“. Then I go check The Economist’s approval model and he’s exactly where he was at the same point in his first administration.

How does he still even have 45% approval at this point. His reckless and unpredictable handling of the economy is nothing short of a disaster along with a tax bill that favors only the wealthy, a loss of any kind of social safety net, an administration that can’t even tie their shoe laces let alone do the jobs they were hired for and a loss of any environmental control.

This is just some of the insane shit happening and yet, 45% of people are cool with all this? wtf!

Genuinely shut the fuck up. I’m so fucking sick of these stupid fucking headlines about Trump’s approval ratings “collapsing.” How many times can they collapse? Every time I look at one of these articles the numbers are basically the same as always, and it’s always way higher than you’d expect.

Also, it doesn’t fucking matter. His approval rating could be 0% and it wouldn’t matter. He’s in. He can do whatever he wants. What fucking good do approval ratings do for us at this point?

No, it hasn’t. This false „fever-breaking“ has gone on far too long. Everytime polls say something people want to hear, they keep accepting it more blindly, that is without a shred of scrutiny. This is why the public needs to do a thorough assessment of the election process. You may find that the people in charge of it are lying to you about its accuracy, and lying in ways you’d never expect. Oh, also fuck Newsweek.

It always takes five years. It’s fucking infuriating, but it was the same way with W. The motherfucker started two wars in his first term and it wasn’t until he was re-elected and the pressure to tow the line was off that republicans started using an iota of free thought. In the end he left the White House with an approval rating around 25%. I’ll bet Trump gets much the same treatment.

One big question is why the hell he had any rating at all among people who aren’t nazis or don’t make a shit load of money.

Under Biden, Americans worried about the price of eggs. Under Trump, Americans worry that masked men will kidnap their friends and neighbors. It’s hard to capture the existential angst in a poll.

It doesn’t matter. He doesn’t care. He’s going to sign whatever his heritage foundation handlers put in front of him. The time to disapprove was back in November.

What if we stopped posting all the bad crap about Trump and started posting all the good shit Dems are working on.

Maybe if we actually showed people that Dems have good agendas and introduce good legislation people would be more inclined to vote for them.

All this “Trump bad” crap gets old and we already established the country is split hard politically. We also established that just showing bad things Trump only pushes people into Repubs because people view it as “hateful” or “suppression”.

Just my take though. Maybe we could get votes if people believed dems are pushing good agendas.
