The guy at the end unironically had the best strategy for drone defense outside of shooting them, he just didnt commit to it. If he would have kept rotating around the tree keeping the drone on the opposite side he couldve at least blocked some of that explosion.

You’d think infantry would just be carrying around nets all the time. Like im adding a fucking net or two to my ruck and when I find a hole to sleep in, putting that net up on the entrance.
Sure maybe it only stops the first drone, but then at least I know the eye of sauron is on me and I can at least attempt to skidaddle.
Plus if everyone has a net, those guys holed up in that brick house could have affixed them to the windows and doors. I get that it doesnt solve the problem, but fuck, im already carrying a bivy bag and ground sheet in my ruck. I’d rather be (marginally) drone proofed than extra dry.

How do their fiber cables not get caught up on all kinds of stuff? Is the “spool” of cable within the drone so if it hangs up it can release more and keep moving? Or is the wire all the way back at the operator and if it gets caught up youre SOL and can’t get it further

How effective is birdshot against these drones? If it can take on down you almost need to make a stubby shotgun with birdshot part of every kit.
